Best Skectchbook Work

This drawing I did was done in my sketch book. How I drew this was, we had to pick something from a box and sketch it. I chose this ship. I knew it was more complex then anything I have done before, but I wanted to challenge myself and try it. The over look, I think I did a wonderful job drawing out. Elements I used were lines, outline, creating it like the actual 3D object. I tried making sure that all the lines on the ship were at least symmetrical. I contrasted between light and dark, making some areas darker and other areas lighter, to make it look like an actual drawing of a miniture ship.

Color Expressive Potrait

In this photo we had to draw our self. I really enjoyed doing this painting because we got to use color ink. I used warm colors to show my happy expression and a color color in the back to balance the colors. I contrasted the orange to add in a shaow. I wanted to balance out my face, the background, and my hair so that it would all work with the warm colors I chose.

Gouche Ink Resist

In this painting below, we had to pick an animal, an insect, or flower to draw. I chose an animal and the animal I chose was the Red Panda. Once we had it all drawn out, we began to paint it with gouche. Any place we left white or painted light, we would use the ink to cover it up and make it darker. The elements that were used were, outline, cool colors, and texture with the blue gouche and with the black ink.

Candy Balance

In this picture, what you see is the candy logo zoomed in. I chose the company Haribo, the company that does the gummy bears. I zoomed in on each letter so you can see a close up. The elements I used were color, shape, and outline. The principles I used were balance.

Alphabet City

In this picture you see letters from the alphabet. I show a variety of ways showing the alphabet. I used pictures from when I was in Venice, Paris, Hawaii, Greece, at home, and even at Mercy. Elements you will see are; color, structure, and shape/ The principles you will see are; movement and patterns in nature.

3D Chair Project

Here is my project for the 3D Chair Project. Instead of doing a chair, I have decided on doing a bench to best represent my theme. What I will be doing on this bench, will be painting our ocean and what could become of it if we do not take care of our ocean. The picture below is only the beginning of this project.

Freddy Charcol

This drawing is of Freddy the skeleton. We had to draw this when the lights were off so that we were a able to draw where the brig light hit. In. The Freddy charcoal I did a lot of cross hatching to show how the light was hitting the bone in that area. The elements I used are; line, shape, and space. The principles of composition I used are; figure and balance.

Freddy Fantasy

In this drawing we had to draw Freddy, but put him in any place. I choose to put Freddy on a pier looking out into the sunset, with a dolphin jumping in the air. The elements that are in this blog are; line, shape, and color. The principle of composition used is figure.

Black and White Stool

In this painting we had draw stools of how the stools were stacked on top of each other. The elements I used were line, and shape. The principle compositions I used; figure, contrast between black and white, and the balance of black and white.
