This is my final piece for my 3D Drawing and Design 1 class. I had to pick something that reminded me of home, the California Poppy, then do some research and sketch some poppies. Then I worked in SketctUp to create models, and then went over to Illustrator to create a pattern for the Laser Cutter to cut out. I am happy with how it came out, however I would have like if I made the pedals bigger so it feels more tight. Overall, it is an abstract California Golden Poppy.

Catch & Fall
This video I did for my 4D class. We had to create a video with the techniques we learned in class.
Fire Eyes
The photo below, is my friend Natalie. The original was used for a project in my class 4D. The original photo is on top and the edited photoshop edit is below. The one below is with blue, and the one below that is with green. This is something I did in my free time and I enjoyed doing this for my friend.

Cans
This drawing closed up the fourth project in my class. From what we learned we had to spray cans white and create a composition with them and take many different photographs. The bottom is the original photograph of what I based my drawing off of.
Value Scale and Can Drawing
This project I got to draw cans and create a value scale. Working with the grayscale markers was fun. The top drawing is my value scale and the bottom drawing is a can drawing using my value scale.
Painting Cubes
These cubes, I used cardstock to create with. First it began with drawing the cubes, then put them in SketchUp, and finally put the design into Illustrator to create a pattern. For this project I got to "paint" the cubes, meaning I worked with a LED light and used different colors to paint the cubes. This was such a fun project because it was something new and something I never tried before.
Wire Sculptures - Tortoises
The wire sculptures below are of the Galapagos Tortoise. It was challenging at times to make this, but I managed to continue and work through the pain I had making this. Overall the project was fun and I had a good time making it.

Up Close Tortoise Head
This tortoise contour, was part of my wire sculpture. I had to pick an animal, do twenty different drawings of it, then make three prototypes, and lastly create a final sculpture of the animal.
Hair Dryer Wire
Using one consecutive line with wire, I created a hair dryer. This was to help and make us to working with wire because this helped us with another project in which we used wire.
Frog and Beetle Drawing
These drawings are more of my contour drawings. I use line quality to show the shadows of the animals and where the sun reflects, the line quality becomes thiner. Both of these drawings, were drawn free hand in pencil at first, then with tracing and marker paper, I went over and traced them.

Tracing Combination
This drawing, we got to trace the objects and create something with them. I choose a bird, a spiky wheel, and a hammer. My composition is designed as a bird is sitting on the wheel, and a hammer is attached to the wheel. I enjoyed this drawing because I got to get creative and use my imagination.
Mouse Tails
These computer mouse, now have tails. This was a fun project. This project involved looking at animals with different line types. The line types we had to use were, scribbly, broken/interrupted, squiggly/wiggly, jagged, whimsical, and wavy. I did a variation of those lines as you can see in my drawings.
Shell Contour
Here are contour drawings of the same shell, but at different views. The top shell, I think is the best out of the five different views I drew. Once again, I could only put detail that was important and that was needed to get my point across that this drawing is a shell.
Lamp Contour
These drawings are similar to the contour drawings of the shoes, but instead these are lamps. I had to look at a lamp, and look at it five different ways. It was a challenge because my brain is trained to sketch, and getting clean, sharp lines across was a bit difficult. Overall, I think these contour drawings turned out pretty good.
Contour Drawings Shoes
These drawings are contour drawings of a shoe. The assignment was to not sketch, but just draw contour lines, as well as add any detail that might be important to know what the object is. One can see the elements of design: line, shape, form, and texture.

Abstract Branches
This photo was taken at Lake Tahoe. I zoomed in and took the picture. When taking the image I thought it would look neat and it turned out to be a good shot.
What Are We Doing?
In this image I drew lion looking at the city skyline while on a top of words. The words depict what is happening to our planet; our home. I traced the lion and part of the skyline. I then used to ink to create the skyline and used blue ink to show the dark sky coming over. The Lion, king of the mountain is looking at the city, wondering what is happening and what these humans are doing to the planet.
Dead Ocean
This drawing is of what the oceans could look in a few years, if action is not taken to take care of the oceans. I also drew in the different colors of the ocean. In the image I have drawn a whale skeleton, an eel skeleton, a hammerhead shark skeleton and bleached coral. I could have spent more time on the sky, but once I again I rushed this piece to move on to the next.
Covered In Plastic
This image is made out of recyclable material. I used saran wrap and used to ink to make it look like water. I then used water bottle caps for the continents and painted them brown. This is another one of my creative images. I wanted it to stand out for my other paintings, I wanted it to be different. I wanted people to see how I see the world, so that people could began taking action and creating a better environment to live in.
Flower Bug
I transformed a beetle, into looking like a cute beetle. Many people few beetles has creepy or digesting bugs, but reality beetles are good in our environment. I took a beetle, traced it, and turned into this. I drew flowers on the beetle to show that beetles, no matter what should be treated with love. The flowers also draw the viewer in to look at how this bug is not disgusting but rather beautiful.
Tree Lungs
This Digital drawing is a creative way of looking at our lungs. Since our lungs in general look like tree branches, I created trees inside our lungs. This is probably one of most creative idea. I used photoshop for this drawing. I think there are some areas I could have worked more on, but I think it got the point across in a creative way.
Galápagos Islands
This painting is of the Galapágos Islands. I used flowers from the Galapágos Islands to show the different islands. It is a little incomplete because it may not look like a map. If I had more time and made it look like a map, it might have been more recognizable. Overall I like how it came out and I like how the pink and blue contrast well together. The bright pink draws you in to look at the flowers.
Animal Yoga Poses
This piece is different from my other pieces. I used yoga poses to show the animals inside. The middle pose is to represent the tree pose and I put a photo in the middle of bamboo that I took in the Galapágos. The figures around the bamboo are representing abstract Panda Bears. I used ink to detail the fur of the Panda Bears.
The City
In this imagine I have the city on top and factories on the bottom. I wanted to portray what is happening and what is being told. The city on top, the background is white, to represent clean air, while on the bottom, factories, are polluting the air, which is why the background on the bottom is black. I used ink to create the silhouettes.
Abstract Sunset
This is not one of my favorites. I rushed this piece and I think if I had more time it might have came out a little bit better. How I have it portrayed is abstract and most sunsets we see are abstract depending how we look at them. I used bright colors and if I had more time, I could have probably blended them better.
Blue Morpho Butterfly
This is another detailed painting of mine. I wanted to replicate a Blue Morpho Butterfly. Though it was difficult to replicate the glow of the butterfly through painting, I think overall in came out good. Before I painted the butterfly, it was only the flower, but I knew it was missing something, so I added the butterfly. The butterfly also draws the attention of the viewer to look closely at the butterfly. Overall I think the butterfly was a good focal point. It draws the viewer in.
Animal Seasons
Instead of doing painting seasons that we know, I used animals to portray the seasons. The Koala Bear is Fall, Polar Bear as Winter, Panda Bear as Spring, and the American Pika for Summer. I also wanted to make the animals come alive so I used a lot of detail to show this. I traced the faces as well as looked at the pictures closely so the animals became alive. I used lines, shape, color, and showed texture on the animals. This is one of my favorite pieces as well as the Poison Dart Frog because it shows how much have grown in the beginnings of my concentrations.
Poison Dart Frog
This painting is one of my favorites. I traced the frog and free handed the lily pad by looking at a picture. I detailed the frog to look like a poison dart frog. The background is a light water color. The main emphasis is focused on the frog. I used color, line, shape, texture, and emphasis.
