Wearable Intention - Tree Hat
This is my final prototype of the tree hat. I made the tree outline out of wire, then glued it to a half circle of Styrofoam. I then bought leaves, small bushes and grass to give more detail. Some critiques that I was given to make it even stand out was to add a river or have two people eating a picnic under the tree. If I had more time, I would have added some animals and people picking up trash. I enjoyed this project because we had to think outside the box and create something different. I definitely stepped out of my comfort zone and went on creating something that I am passionate about.
Wearable Intention Sketches
These are my sketches for wearable intention. I had to create an article of clothing that could be in fashion. Since Earth Day was coming up, I decided to create a hat that honored Earth Day. The third sketch, is what I went off of. I decided to make a tree hat.
Art Deco Cube
This project I had to create an art deco cube. The week before we started this project all design students took a trip to South Beach, Miami. For this project I had to focus on one building and take photographs to use as reference. The building I took photographs of, was the Netherland Hotel. This project was my least favorite because it seemed like it was thrown in at the last second. It also collided with my 2D project, which the whole purpose of the trip was for. In 2D I had to create a South Beach, Miami poster. This project for 3D seemed to just take advantage of the trip. This is probably one of my least successful projects this semester. I am not too happy about it, and wish I did something more to it.
Phobia Packages
This project in 3D I had to choose to phobias that I would create remedy boxes for. The phobias I chose were Galeophobia - Fear of Sharks and Cymophobia - Fear of Waves. I really liked this project because we got to choose what we wanted to do and got to play around with iconic symbols.
Emotion Pop-Up Book
The photos below are pictures of my Emotion pop-up book. The emotion I choose was confused. The top photo is my rough draft of the pop-up book. The bottom photo is the final book I created. This was our first 3D project during the second semester.
