Human Figure

This drawing I did was I picked out of 5 famous sculptors. I did Degas with his ballerinas sculptress. I was inspired by a friend who does ballet and she was in the Nutcracker. So I made the Human Figure dressed as a soldier; like the Nutcracker, and then inside I just doodled around with it. Elements of design I used was color, shape/form, and outline of the ballerina. The principles of design used are pattern in the legs, movement of the vines drawn on the red top, and then i used a ink that I diluted with water so it become light blue, so you would focus on just the ballerina.

News Bench (Chair Project)

This is what my bench looks like. On the bench are articles and little comics about the environment. I have also incorporated some articles about Sea Shepherd because in the beginning I wanted to create something that follows what the organization does. Since it is a bench, you can sit on it while you read the articles.

Still Life - Items Represent Me

In this painting we had to find a shoe box and between 3-7 items that represented us, something all the items had in common, or items that described a friend or family member. The items that I picked were items that describe me. The overall job I think I could have done better, it is not my best, I think. Some of the items actually like while others I wish i could have worked harder on. Elements of Design used were line, shape/form, color, value, and texture. Principles of Design, that I used was emphasis because I have centered all my items in the middle, so that the viewer can focus on the detail of the items.

Altered Paper - Whale Origami

In this drawing that I did, we were given a piece of paper that we need to alter and then draw it out on paper. With my paper I created an origami whale and then drew it on the paper below. I used line, value, and shape/form.

Metamorphosis

In this drawing, we had to draw and object and create it into another object. I used an animal, a panda bear and turned it into a rocking chair. In my room I have this poster with a panda bear just causally eating and while looking at it, I realized it could look like a rocking chair. So I morphed a panda bear into a rocking chair all through drawing it out. The elements of design I used was line, value, texture, and form. The principles of design I used were balance to make sure that the panda bear was going in steps to become a rocking chair.

Color Wheel - Turtle

In this painting, we had to show the color wheel in a interesting way. I decided to show the color wheel using a sea turtle's shell. I began with red and went all the way to red-violet. The elements of design I used were; color, shape/form, line to make it look like the turtle was moving, texture by showing the turtle has spots, and space. The principles of design that are being used is emphasis to show that the main focus in the turtle shell with it's bright colors.

Swan Rendering

In this rendering I choose a that I feel represents who I am; a swan. The picture was taken in Maui, Hawaii and it was just gracefully gliding on the water. The elements of design I used shape to represent the form and shape of the swan, value; to show that the swan is the main focus and that it lights up the rendering, and line to show movement of the water. The principle of design, I used movement to show that the swan is gliding in the water and emphasis to show that the swan is the center of attention in this rendering.
